At JCU English Language Centre we aim to help you succeed. That is why we provide a range of free services to support all of our students in achieving their educational, personal and employment goals. We know that for many of our students this is the first time that they have been away from their own country for an extended time. For this reason every attempt is made to help you in the transition to life and study in your new home.

Services

Accommodation and homestay
Information about student accommodation and homestay options including expected costs, rental, share house and Footprints Cairns Student lodge.

Class rooms and facilities
JCU-ELC students have access to a wonderful range of facilities on both the JCU university and TAFE campuses including library, cafe, multi media and computer room.

Counselling and support
We recognise how difficult it can be moving to and living in a new country, so we ensure that all students have access to academic and welfare Counselling and support.

Student activities
Learn about what activities are available through "The Walkabout Club", and also other tourist activities in both Cairns and Townsville.

Public transport
How to get around in Cairns and Townsville including bus timetables, bicycle and taxi.
